Literally translated: financing by the masses. The idea behind it is that many individuals invest a small amount and that these small investments together finance a project completely. This way, as an entrepreneur, you do not have to knock on the door of larger investors.
A pre-sale of a product is also a form of crowdfunding. Because products are purchased prior to production, the entrepreneur can use the proceeds to finance production. So there is no need to borrow money first to finance production.

We think crowdfunding is a great principle and it also fits well with the introduction of the new MAKUS. There is more than one reason for that! Firstly, the above-mentioned principle, because you purchase the product in advance, we do not have to attract external financing to finance the production.
Another nice thing about crowdfunding is that you get an idea of how popular the product is and therefore get an idea of how many products to make. It prevents you from making too few, but more importantly: from making too many. Surplus is a waste for the environment if you end up with it. It can also lead to high inventory costs, which you want to avoid as an entrepreneur.
