Villa Calma by Sumeyya Ata
Villa Calma by Sumeyya Ata
Interior icon Sumeyya Ata and her husband are renovating their 'Villa Calma' in the woods of Oud Turnhout. It is a beautiful place that has been given a new fresh character by her sharp eye. The peace and tranquility that you feel when you enter the house is almost indescribable. The incidence of light is magical, the interior is beautiful. The stylish house was designed by the Turnhoutseschool in 1966. The Turnhoutse school is innovative and modern, but without losing sight of the human aspect.
The inspiration comes mainly from the Scandinavian architecture of Arne Jacobsen and Alvar Aalto. Sumeyya herself is a MAKUS induction hob fan from the very beginning, she started with a MAKUS Marble design induction hob. Soon the MAKUS Moon induction hob with extractor will shine in Villa Calma. The interior, the dedication and skill with which she and her husband renovate the house, is a source of inspiration for many. Also for us. Looking for interior inspiration? Follow Sumeyya on Insta.
Sumeyya: “MAKUS is a higher level of integration”.
