Two Dutch design brands with the same conviction: that what you use should also be beautiful. Makus and MAK Studio join forces. The result? A mobile kitchen island that features the coloured Makus Moon induction hob as its beating heart.

The Makus Moon

The Makus Moon is Makus' 90cm wide induction hob with integrated extraction, featuring extra deep cooking zones and a centralised control panel. Manufactured in Germany to the highest quality standards. Designed in the Netherlands. Awarded the European Product Design Award.

The cooking zones can be combined on both sides to form one large flexible zone. Ideal for large pans, grill plates, or a festive dinner.

The MAK kitchen island is designed to move with life. Multifunctional, mobile, and made to last for generations. Produced in Amsterdam, with steel as a sturdy base and natural materials as a starting point.

Thanks to replaceable parts and a loose top, it is easy to maintain and refresh. Design with a conscience.





Together at the Exhibition Floor

Makus and MAK Studio can be seen together at leading design fairs, including Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven and Design District during the Architects Fair. A collaboration that shows what happens when two Amsterdam design studios speak the same language.

Top:

I have the first MAKUS hob in Ireland and it's fantastic. I went for the MAKUS Moon. The colour complements my neutral toned kitchen and I have received so many compliments! The hob itself is effective and the down draft is very powerful which is perfect for minimising the smell of cooking in the kitchen! I love the option of having a bigger ring where I can put a larger pan too!

De kookplaat werkt fantastisch: warmt snel op en met handige functies zoals een timer en overkookbeveiliging. Ik koos voor de kookplaat vanwege het grappige ontwerp, het idee dat je op een stuk marmer kookt vond ik wel spectaculair. Maar ik ben vooral erg te spreken over de persoonlijke en snelle service van Merel. Het glas van mijn oude MAKUS kookplaat was door een stomme fout gebroken en toen kon ik de overige onderdelen op laten halen om hergebruikt te worden.

Tip:

Geen verbeterpunten, dank jullie wel voor de service nogmaals!

Het contact verliep heel vriendelijk en de plaat zelf is echt prachtig. Als interieurontwerper raad ik het zeker aan om te werken met deze mooie kookplaten, het tilt de keuken meteen naar een veel hoger niveau.
